]]> Misaligned teeth not only cause esthetic problems but also they can create functional issues. One concern, which most patients have with traditional braces is being unattractive and in most cases uncomfortable. Some of the advantages that clear aligners provide are:

1- Appearance: 

Metal braces can cause the appearance of the mouth to be unattractive, as though it is filled with awkward chunks of unsightly metal. They are noticeable, especially on an adult. Invisalign® clear braces are barely noticeable. They are decidedly more attractive than metal braces.

2- Comfort:

 Invisalign® clear braces are removable. For an event, eating or cleaning they can easily be removed.

3- Saftey:

Conventional metal braces contain wire and protruding bits of metal that can puncture and scratch the insides of the mouth and gums. Clear braces are smooth and comfortable. They do not include any sharp edges or protruding edges or bits. Conventional metal braces can affect demineralization and decaying teeth. Due to problems cleaning some people can develop cavities due to wearing braces.

4- Duration of Treatment: 

Someone who wears metal braces might expect the treatment to take as long as five years. Invisalign® can take from only one year to a year and a half to straighten your teeth.

5- Knowing What to Expect: 

Every treatment plan is customizable. Every treatment is know how long it will take and what to expect.

However, in some cases there is no choice but to go with metal braces, case selection is an essential aspect. If a patient is the right candidate for clear aligner, he or she can take advantage of these benefits.

Higher grade lymphomas are associated with a 60% mortality rate at 5 years after diagnosis and treatment. So it is very important to catch these types of cancer at their earliest stage. Your dental hygienist or dentist can detect these signs at their earliest stage. So it is very important to have a regular dental visit every 6 months especially if you are a smoker.”
